Good news, everybody... they've invented a doom clock

Ever wondered just how much we have left? Hint: it is a finite number.

  1. The Zombpocalypse approaches. Though, I do wonder if there will be a massive breakdown or a period of massive innovation as humans try to adapt to a lack of easily mined natural resources.

The other question is what comes first: Doom, or the Singularity?

  3. Why am I trying to censor myself?

Maybe it's because I am alluding to a conflict that begins in April 2052.

  4. I forgot--we don't have to choose either or, we can do both doom and innovation at the same time!

    We humans are so smart...

  5. We could invent AI, but it would tell us the same thing: if you're out of gallium, you're out of luck.

And if you don't like that, I'll poke you in the gums with me screwdriver.

  6. What about inventing a way to upload our minds into software? Then we just need to solve our energy problems, have a form of memory that isn't mechanical/doesn't degrade over time...ah, forget it.

    Doom it is then.

I'm interested in what happens in 2050--That seems to be when the most radical predictions are set to happen.
