space 1889

I've been reading "Iron Council" by China Mieville which is modern and pretty fun steam punk, with some fantasy elements. I think so far my favorite bits have been the creatures, humans or animals augmented with iron and steam and clockwork, even other parts of animals. Anyway, it got me reading about steampunk in general and I bumped into a setting that I need to try. It's a role playing game called space 1889. Reading some reviews, apparently the rules of the game leave a little to be desired, but how cool is an ether propeller?
