Because Giant Panda's have the biggest natural advantage over any other animal. They are incredibly cute. And therefore the number 1 apex predator on the planet loves them and keeps them alive. Even if we have to artificially impregnate them. Besides I don't know about you, but something tells me lazy ass bamboo fed panda meat would be incredibly fatty and not taste all that great
Why are panda's not extinct? Natural Selection should have killed them by now.
