Animal Research

So I work in a lab at the university, and while we don't work with animals there are other labs in the building that do. And one of them posted the following poster in the kitchen, which I thought was hilarious. It's the Advanced Animal Directive, like the advanced medical directive only a terrible idea. 11. & 12. Early, Kent decided he must turn his titanic strength into channels that would benefit mankind. And so was created SUPERMAN, champion of the oppressed, the physical marvel who had sworn to devote his existence to helping those in need!

Google takes a new approach to China(!)

Wow.

In response to cyber attacks on the Gmail accounts of Chinese civil rights advocates, Google is no longer going to offer censored search in China and therefore will probably shut down google.cn entirely. I'm surprised that even Google would do this.

Update:

Triple wow. An official slap in the face to the Chinese government. (If the link is not working when you read this, it was a google.cn/images search for "tianamen square", which previously had all of the tank pictures taken out.)
